WebI have 2, tried mixing with them for years, could never get it balanced. They are not flat and are not open-backed. I still use them for tracking, but never for mixing. I got Sennheiser HD600 (and also Sonarworks) and now my mixes are much more balanced. Those are way better for mixing, but they are a bit more than $300. But is it perfect (in stock form) for producing, mixing/mastering? well, yes because it is so flat but also no because it is very hard to drive.
